Bonus Maryland Football Hype

This is typical. An article that purports to list the Top 100 hottest athletes in Div. I-A football. What's typical? You guessed it. Not one Terp on the list. You're telling me that the #19 team in the country doesn't have ONE PLAYER worthy of making this list? Yet UConn's QB is rated in the Top 50? For a program whose fans don't know how to tailgate and which has played largely high school calibre programs for most of its existence, that's rather high praise. The stat inflating Big East competition isn't taken into account? I mean, look at the teams that play in this conference! It's the sole reason WVU is ranked #13. For all the poor sports writers from the Northeast who want to justify their love for their lackluster conference. Just because they might win 10 games against such storied football programs as UConn, Rutgers, and Temple, doesn't mean they're the #13 best team in the country. Give me a break. We all have faith in the Fridge, but he's not winning games with smoke and mirrors. Most of the teams in the Big East are early season warm-up game fodder for ACC teams.

Need I also mention that some scrub from the Mean Green of North Texas is also on the list?
