The Old Ball Coach

This story is kind of sad. As much as I couldn't wait to see the Skins ditch Spurrier, it's never fun to see such a fall from splendor. I always liked his Florida teams and was pretty happy when he signed with Dan Snyder. But he was obviously terrible in the NFL. I'm not shedding any tears now that Joe Gibbs is back, no siree!!

Actually there are some coaches I would like to see trying desperately to pick up the pieces of a ruined coaching career: Coach K, Joe Torre, Bill Parcells, Bobby Knight, Quinn Snyder. Then I'm fine with that. And if Spurrier ends up at UNC, then the pathetic picture of him in the stands will always bring a smile to my face.
